Jason Emsley was born in 1979 in La Jolla, a small Californian town hardly associated with techno music. If someone had told Jason ten years ago that he would become a DJ and producer of dance techno music, he would have laughed out loud. Everything changed when this typical Californian teenager turned sixteen and entered the University of Colorado—this is where his first contact with electronic music sparked intense curiosity in his inquisitive mind. Four years later, Jason, now a happy owner of Technics turntables and a fully formed vinyl addict, successfully completed his university studies and moved to the British capital in search of knowledge in sound engineering. Just two years later, thanks to his first solo release "Function EP", his name became firmly established in the artist roster of the Cologne label Platzhirsch Schallplatten, where he released three more records, including his final release—Inept Starlet EP, which reached the top of charts among many top DJs.
