Joe Le Bon

Le Bon is a true techno veteran with sixteen years behind the turntables. During this time, he has played in all imaginable and unimaginable clubs in Helsinki and has shared the stage with the entire elite of club electronics worldwide, from Tiga and Hell to John Tejada and Troy Pierce. However, Joe only began recording his own tracks and taking music seriously a few years ago, and it's hard to imagine a more rapid career. Today, the Finn has a contract with the Berlin label International Deejay Gigolos, and the label's boss DJ Hell calls Le Bon a 'Fantastic artist of a new type.'

Le Bon's own material can be characterized as elastic, gloomy tech-house, occasionally sliding into 'marching' techno. Utilitarian music for the dancefloor – a nervous, rolling bass and dark, looped sequences. However, sometimes the Finn flirts with electronics as well. Le Bon has coined the term Instant Live for his live performances, meaning 'instant live performance' – referring to the immediate creation of a completely new track in front of an astonished audience. At concerts, Joe does not play prepared tracks; instead, he creates new material 'live,' thereby engaging in a dialogue with the dancing crowd. In this sense, each of his live sets is unique. Sometimes, improvisation turns into a collective jam – such collective creativity was demonstrated by Joe Le Bon and Andriyesh at the mini-festival Gigolo Night held in Izhevsk.
