MyHoliday

MyHoliday, Moscow natives, represent a rare example of a successfully functioning independent group. They manage their own affairs, are not guided by market trends, and play—for their own pleasure—a non-standard hybrid of rock, jazz, and trip-hop. Yet their life philosophy proves justified: the group performs with enviable regularity and has long had its own devoted audience. Having presented their debut album just a couple of years ago, less than half a year later they released a second album and a covers collection in succession, and in 2010 came another studio album, the infini_F EP. (The release title, as usual, is mysterious and cryptic, but it speaks to the fact that the guys finally recorded that marvelous track that concluded every concert throughout 2009). Pleasantly, in their case, quantity in no way affects quality. Their creative method is more than pleasing to the ear: trip-hop transitions into frankly danceable numbers. MyHoliday is songs with emotional female vocals—the ideal soundtrack to life, where from love to hatred, as from tears to happiness, there is but one step or one song. In any case, all fans of trip-hop, as well as rock with jazz coloring, and also simply airy and light music will not be disappointed.
