Urban music and arts festival Present Perfect in Saint Petersburg

The electronic music and contemporary art festival Present Perfect is a dedication to cultural avant-garde, showcasing the most relevant events happening right now. The new festival, taking place in Saint Petersburg on August 1st, will be held at the Street Art Museum, artfully located on the grounds of a layered plastic factory. The festival will feature a rich 16-hour program divided into two equal parts: evening and night. The focal point of the evening program will be the 'Mir Square' with a meticulously designed open-air music stage, modern art in all its diversity, market stalls, food trucks offering delicious street food, a skate ramp, and lectures. The evening musical lineup will include British artists Hidden Orchestra, presenting their latest program, the versatile Finnish musician Jimi Tenor, the pioneers of Soviet 'machine music' duet 'New Composers,' a showcase of cutting-edge electronic music from Moscow-based label 'Gost Zvuk,' special guests from the UK known for their work with Ninja Tune, and many others. At midnight, Present Perfect will shift towards dancing, making the dreams of contemporary electronic music fans come true. Four multi-functional night venues will each act as independent centers of attraction. The main venue, United, will host a fantastic light show and live performances by world-renowned artists. The Dynamic stage, a collaboration with Saint Petersburg's leading techno club Mosaique, will showcase international artists from the modern club scene, as well as talented residents of Moscow's club Arma 17 and local DJs. At the uniquely designed Resistance location, inspired by a post-apocalyptic aesthetic, Present Perfect guests will explore the latest trends in electronic music. The fourth stage, Backyard, located on the roof of the Street Art Museum, will create a cozy festival atmosphere with warm electronic, disco, and funk music, complemented by decorations made at the plastic factory. The extensive night program of Present Perfect will feature true electronic music stars. Techno pioneer Moritz von Oswald will present his Borderland project, which wowed audiences at the world's best festivals last year. The festival will host the Saint Petersburg debut of Xosar, the enchanting signee of the ultra-trendy American label L.I.E.S., renowned for her mesmerizing deep house with a slight acid vibe. Another prominent act at Present Perfect will be Nathan Fake from England, one of the key influencers and avant-garde artists of the contemporary British techno scene. The highlight of the night will be the appearance of Matt Edwards with his Radio Slave project–the founder of the label Rekids, which introduced the world to Nina Kraviz and set the tone for the development of modern electronic music. The lineup will feature around 30 artists from Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kyiv, and Europe. The artistic part of the festival is under the patronage of the Street Art Museum. Curated by European names, the museum will exhibit a new outstanding collection of art objects, installations, and graffiti masterpieces. The artistic atmosphere of the festival will be curated by Moscow artist Elizaveta Mamonova, representing the creative union Eon Flax, responsible for the installations at the acclaimed Outline festival and the mapping shows at Boiler Room events in Saint Petersburg and Moscow.
