Sonar + D, the 3rd International Congress combining creativity, technology, and business, will take place in Barcelona on June 18, 19, and 20 as part of Sonar by Day. This year is expected to attract over 4,000 professionals and 2,000 companies from 60 countries. Following launches in the UK, Germany, and France, the leading global crowdfunding platform for creative projects, Kickstarter, will celebrate its European expansion and launch in Spain through an extensive program at SONAR + D. The Sonar + D 2015 program will be opened on June 18 by Yancey Strickler, CEO and co-founder of Kickstarter, with an inspiring presentation. The lineup includes over a hundred speakers from 18 countries, including virtual reality experts Chris Milk and Aaron Koblin (VRSE); prominent curators of audio-visual practices Rutger Wolfson (IFFR-Rotterdam International Film Festival) and Jim Kolmar (SXSW Film Festival); and cyberpunk pioneer Bruce Sterling, who will ceremoniously close the Sonar + D conference on June 20. A Job Market Place and Start-Up Competition, as well as over 500 opportunities to meet experts, find talent, or attract investors using activities within the Sonar + D community for your business. Virtual reality, wearable gadgets, sound and audio-visual prototypes, as well as experiments at the intersection of science and art, will stand out among the cutting-edge technologies to be presented at the Congress.
