The Nascent label continues to bring to the forefront DJs admired by English club magazines like Mixmag and DJmag. Steve Gerrard and James Talk have already successfully launched, and now it’s the turn of one of the most promising Asian DJs, Eldrin. Eldrin is a resident at one of the best clubs in the world - Singapore's Zouk. He has been a resident since the club's inception, playing alongside every conceivable star, many of whom were amazed by his ability to manipulate records skillfully. Danny Tenaglia said this young man embodies all the best in modern DJing, while English journalists dubbed him 'Asian DJ number one' and 'the best resident of the best club in the world.' Moreover, Eldrin has been touring the world for quite some time, gathering crowds of enthusiastic clubbers. In his mix 'Thinking Out Loud,' Eldrin went all out - he amassed a mountain of records, not particularly paying attention to the year of release, and created a mix that is lively and well thought out from start to finish. Following the rules of high DJ art, using his own versions, which are usually completely exclusive and add additional sparkle. For those who can understand by the names of tracks and labels, it’s quite simple - a glance at the tracklist makes it clear that the entire mix is infused with the freshest ideas and trends just emerging in the most avant-garde clubs in the world, one of which, without a doubt, is Singapore's Zouk. This is progressive house, presented in a completely new packaging, sounding new, moderately hard, moderately melodic, and of course, very danceable, with a hint of hypnotic vibes, which have always been hallmarks of the best examples of progressive house. Jeff Bennett, Bart Van Wissen, Slam, Neil Quigley, Nick Muir, and another two dozen familiar, unfamiliar, very well-known, and completely unknown names. The key point here isn't even the names but how Eldrin utilized this musical material (here, the words of the patriarch of global dance culture, Danny Tenaglia, come to mind). As a result, two mixes were created, enveloping and completely paralyzing the listener's thought. But the listener is not opposed; rather, they are in favor. This is not a typical DJ mix - it is an embodiment of everything that the DJ culture has absorbed over the last twenty years.
