George Saunders, a London resident, "responsible" for the Solar Quest project - a personality that is both strange and mysterious, and equally talented and multifaceted.
George began his musical journey back in 1993. Fascinated by genres with the "acid" prefix - trance, house and techno, Saunders acquired the legendary Roland TB-303, came up with the pseudonym Solar Quest and released several tracks. One of them, "Acid Air Raid", subsequently became a true acid classic and has been re-released hundreds of times in various compilations and mixes.
A year later, when everyone expected new dance hits from him, George released the epic album "Orgship", which in turn has already entered the "gold collection" of 90s ambient alongside Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works". Since then, Solar Quest has never strayed from chill-out and downtempo and regularly delighted fans with new sound canvases - beautiful and amazing.
In the early 2000s, Saunders mysteriously "fell out" of musical life - not a single album for 7 years, and only rare nostalgic compositions on compilations marked "limited edition". But ultimately, his tireless creative nature prevailed, and in 2008 Solar Quest returned with a completely new "long-playing" record "Sola Luna", recorded in his own unique studio, fully electrified with solar panels. The LP recording involved more than a dozen session musicians playing exotic African and Asian instruments, as well as a young British vocalist Aviva Davidson.
It is with Aviva - a beautiful woman fascinated by Indian philosophy - and a mountain of analog equipment that Solar Quest travels to Moscow. Here he will perform at the famous chillout cafe "Ketama" - a place where not only a chic interior and excellent cuisine rule, but also music. And in our time, you must agree, this is a great rarity.
