The members of the band Jessica 6, Nomi Ruiz, Antony Hegartry, and Andrew Butter, met while they were members of one of the most notable groups of the 2000s, Hercules & Love Affair. Hercules & Love Affair is the brainchild of producer James Murphy, who breathed life into it and elevated his label DFA to unprecedented heights. The emergence of this group had the effect of a bomb explosion; they quickly became crowd favorites, and their songs topped leading dance charts. It can be said that their music sparked a new wave of global popularity for the neo-disco style.

After the mega-successful world tour of Hercules & Love Affair, Nomi, Morgan, and Andrew felt a lot in common regarding their creative priorities and decided to create a joint project, Jessica 6. Many music critics are already predicting loud fame for the band, calling them nothing less than "rapidly rising stars of the New York dance scene." And this seems to be true; it is hard to doubt the success of an endeavor initiated by such professionals in the music industry. Besides participating in Hercules & Love Affair, the members of the band have been involved in many notable projects. Nomi has already released her debut album "Lost in Lust" and has participated in a joint tour with Debbie Harry and Antony & The Johnsons. Andrew and Morgan are well-known and respected producers, with many successful remixes to their credit for artists such as Hercules & Love Affair, Goldfrapp, Cut Copy, Chaz Jankel, Aereoplane, and last year they were actively involved in the production of the new album by Massive Attack.
